Guided tours of Vipava in July and August

Vipava is a hospitable place famous for its many natural and cultural attractions. A place where water reigns, and as many as 25 bridges lead across it. There is also a long list of excellent wines. The rich history of Vipava and its beauty was appreciated by many noble families who settled and lived here. Did you know that Leonardo da Vinci also visited Slovenian Venice, as many call Vipava, in 1500 and studied the possibility of damming the Vipava River in defense against the Turks? Or that you can see real Egyptian sarcophagi here? It is given a special stamp and character by the wind called Burja, which shapes people's lives, especially on days when it blows so violently that it cannot be ignored.

You will get to know the architecture of Vipava, walk over bridges, see the springs of the river and experience the real pulse of the city. Fans of the series Najini mostovi will surely get to know and discover the corners that have become the backdrop of this romantic story.

Guided tours of Vipava will take place in July and August:

- every Wednesday at 5 p.m.,
- every Saturday at 10 p.m.

Meeting point: Lanthieri mansion (Tourist information center, Glavni trg 8, 5271 Vipava).
