We present to you the first among the seven wine and cycling routes, called PINELA.

A short description of the route:
The route, approximately 28 km long, includes both tarmac paths and macadam side paths.
From the Vipava Tourist Centre, cycle across the Central Square onto the main road that leads to the village of Vrhpolje. You will arrive in the village along the gently-sloping road, cycle past the parish church, the Pri Kobalu Pizza Restaurant and Vrhpolje Camp to the Krapež Winery. You then go down to the Tomažič Farm. You then again go through Vipava, and then climb to the hamlet of Gradišče, where you can find the three above-mentioned wine cellars. There is a beautiful view of Vipava from the Church of St. Cross, which you will see along the way. Following the path among the vineyards you will arrive in the village of Slap, which is particularly famous today because the Slovenian TV series Najini Mostovi (Our Bridges) is shot there. There are five wine cellars to choose from in the village. At the same time, you can take a bike ride or walk along the new Med Divje educational trail. From the village of Slap, climb the macadam path to the Guerila Estate, which stands on the Vipava side of the village of Planina and which offers a magnificent view of the upper Vipava Valley. The path takes you further to the village of Erzelj and the Miška and Dora Erzelj wine cellars, and then over the hill to the village of Goče. Cycle through the narrow village streets and go down the macadam path somewhat lower to the village of Lože (Wipach Wine Cellar) and back to the village of Manče. To avoid the busy road, go from Manče to Podraga along the well-maintained macadam paths among the meadows and vineyards. There are another two wine cellars in Podraga, where you will be offered the native variety of Pinela.
We invite you to take the paths full of new experiences and discoveries offered by the hills of the Vipava region.
