We offer you the chance to become a winemaker! You can be a wine grower and winemaker 365 days a year.
Meeting point: Goče - next to the Goče Primary School. * In case of a visit to the Vipava Wine Museum, the collection point is at the TIC Vipava, Glavni trg 8.
The Wine Museum is located in the vaulted cellar of the Baroque Lanthieri mansion, which reigns on the main square in Vipava. The museum houses collections of vine-growing, viticulture and winemaking, which testify to the rich tradition of tending the vine on Vipava soil.
After visiting Vipava (optional), the group moves on to Goče.
This guide will introduce you to the village of Goče and its history. Historically, Goče was a wine-growing centre, producing wines for the Viennese court and the nearby port of Trieste.
Take up viticulture as a hobby with the possibility of working in the vineyard. Work takes place at all times of the year. There is never a shortage of work in the vineyard and cellar. This time, you have the chance to follow the wine from vine to bottle.
1. Tour of the vineyards (vineyard section).
The guide takes the group to the surrounding terraced vineyard, where he explains the entire route to be taken to harvest the grapes. Visitors are given a detailed timeline of all the work to be done in the vineyard (vine pruning, soil tillage, etc.), while at the same time they can try out the seasonal work available in the vineyard at the time. And do you know our indigenous grape varieties from Vipava? We offer you an exclusive service. Plant some vines when you visit and monitor their growth and development. And over the years, you will have your own wine. By visiting regularly, you will be able to follow their growth and development through all the phenophases, from buds to berries ripe for harvesting.
2. Presentation of the works in the cellar (wine part).
The second part of the trip includes the wine part. Visitors are shown the path from harvest to wine with all the stages in between (harvesting, milling, pressing, etc...). All the major processes and their importance in winemaking are described in detail. You will learn the art of creating a unique blend from the best wines we have to offer, tailored to your taste and preferences. We will provide you with the training and information you need, our quality Vipava wines and all the equipment you need to make your own bottles. What you need to bring is your creativity!
3. Ancillary products in viticulture and wine production.
The third and final strand covers additional products in viticulture and wine-making. You will learn in detail about the process of cooking wine distillate and the final product - the wine cellar. Techniques for the production of picolite and various liqueurs will also be presented.

As the farmhouses and vineyards are scattered throughout Goče, the guide will spend the time in between introducing you to Goče. The history of viticulture and wine-making and its influence on the development of the village are presented in detail.

After the presentation of each wine lot, a wine tasting will take place in two or three wine cellars. In addition to the tasting, the young winemakers will present their plans for the future and their vision for developing their own brands.
Food
The basic finger food package includes a steak made from selected local meats, cheese and homemade sourdough bread.
The work in the vineyard and the wine cellar, and later in the tasting room, is never resting and is very varied and diverse.
