The Vipava War Museum is located in the Janko Premrl - Vojko Barracks in Vipava. The collection was created by Mitja Močnik, who expanded his original World War I exhibition to include the period from the First World War to the present day, with a focus on the Primorska region and its people.

The exhibition also includes a memorial section dedicated to the history of the barracks — from its construction before the First World War to the present day, when it bears the name of national hero Janko Premrl – Vojko. The museum displays numerous items from various periods: equipment, tools, decorations, military and non-military artifacts, photographs, plans, and nearly 200 uniforms. It represents a rich private collection curated by Mitja Močnik.
