Rondič Wine House

Even if we don't think of the Earth as a living being, it treats us as if it was our mother, and we depend on it as children.

STORY:
Our wine house can be found in Slap, next to the village square of this clustered settlement in the Vipava Valley. Viticulture and winemaking have been at home in our house for more than four generations. We live in a restored, more than 250-year-old, typical Vipava house, with a large modern cellar under the courtyard, which allows us to lovingly share what the vines have to offer.

VINEYARD:
We cultivate about 11 hectares of vineyards, mostly on the lapis terraces of the Vipava Hills. These most favourable conditions were described by Janez Vajkard Valvasor in his 1689 Slavia Vojvodina Kranjske (The Glory of the Duchy of Carniola). We are aware that both the favourable location and the master's hand give our wine a special character, which is reflected in its top quality.

CELLAR AND WINE:
The modern cellar, built in 2003, is dominated by white wines. Pinela, Rebula, Malvasia, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon, Muscat.  For red wines, we focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. We like to stop with our visitors in the vaulted part of the cellar and have a glass of fine wine at the unique wooden table with homemade prosciutto.

TASTING:
