To the birthplace of the Slovenian national anthem

From Vipava, we head towards the village of Podnanos, where we first turn right to the village of Podraga, which is known for its rich winemaking tradition. We cycle along the local road towards Podnanos, the birthplace of the Slovenian national anthem. We turn right to the village of Lozice, where we can take a look at the stone table where Napoleon Bonaparte made a stop at the end of the 18th century. The less busy road leads to the village of Otošče, from where a more difficult climb follows to Razdrto. What used to be very busy, and now a very quiet, paved road from Razdrto to Podnanos offers a beautiful view of the upper part of the Vipava Valley. From Podnanos, we head back towards Vipava.
