Krapež

The Krapež homestead can be found in the pleasant Primorska village of Vrhpolje not far from Vipava. Rich deposits of marl and flysch, which are an excellent basis for growing vines, were brought here by the sea, which once reached here.

Krapež family offers fresh wines and wines aged in special barrels. Among the white wines you can choose between the indigenous varieties of zelen and pinela, sauvignon and chardonnay. The offer of white wines is rounded off by a white variety called "Lapor belo", which consists of chardonnay, rebula and pinela.

The Krapež family also offers excellent red wines that impress even the most demanding lovers. Cabernet sauvignon, merlot and barbera are at home here, and the red variety "Marl red", which consists of cabernet sauvignon and merlot, has an important place in the cellar.

Krapež Wine Cellar is a member of the Association of Family Winegrowers - Winemakers of Slovenia and members of the Green Consortium and is involved in the Vipava Wine Road project.

In 2020, they received the Decanter Platinum Medal for Macerated Malvasia.

For announced guests, they offer a tour of the cellar and a tasting of up to 20 people in Slovene and English.

In the immediate vicinity is the church of St. Primož and Felicijan with 180 m2 of mosaic paintings by Fr. Marko Ivan Rupnik. There is glamping and camping in the village. The village has countless opportunities for hiking and biking. Possibility of a panoramic walk to the vineyards.
